Overview

Polyvine Classic Colour Scumble is ideal for creating decorative effects such as colour washing, stippling, ragging, dragging and sponging. It's ideal for use over vinyl silk emulsion/satin latex paints on walls to produce a semi transparent paint effect.

Application

Always try the technique on a test piece before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the bottle

• Mix well before use.
• Apply a basecoat ensuring it's a vinyl silk emulsion/ satin latex and allow to dry for 24 Hours.
• Mix the Scumble with a matt emulsion or satin to the following recipes:.
• Warm conditions (above 20°C) six parts Scumble to one part emulsion/latex.
• Cool conditions (below 20°C) four parts Scumble to one part emulsion/latex.
• Brush or roller the glaze liberally over the base coat
• Create the desired effect by breaking the surface with a crumpled rag, bag, sponge or Polyvine tool.
